Utilising the laws under permitted development, it is possible to extend without the need for a planning applications. In May 2019 the maximum size of a permitted development extension will be reduced. The good news is, until then guidelines allow for sizeable extensions, subject to a neighbour consultation scheme and certain rules.
This proposed modern addition seeks to utilise this law to extend an existing 90's dwelling and to provided an open plan garden room which promotes outdoor living and provides much needed additional space.
